The normal vaginal PH ranges between 3.5 – 4.5  Lubricants for everyday use tend to be right in the middle or around 4, to prevent altering the natural pH.   However, when we ovulate, the ph of our vaginas actually becomes more alkaline (higher). It does this because sperm carries a PH between 7.1 – 8.0 so our bodies try to create a more hospitable environment for sperm to be able to thrive.

A lubricant with a higher PH has been shown to provide a more suitable environment for conception and is ideal for use during ovulation.  Organics Oceanics as it’s about a 7.2 pH level. It also does not contain glycerin, which can damage sperm.
